Graduate student, David Barclay, returned from the NPAL '09 cruise in the Philippine Basin. DeepSound Mk I was successfully deployed and made continuous ambient noise recordings from the surface to depths of up to 6km.

DeepSound Mk II has been finished and is schedule for a cruise in October 2009.

Buckingham research group is a part of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. We are located in La Jolla, west of the main UCSD campus. For directions click here.
